Big boy bed

Truitt's old crib and bedding

Sleeping in his new bunk bed
Spaghetti night. Thanks for at least trying to use a fork. : )

Truitt has now started sleeping in his big boy bed. We are very proud of him and he is very proud of himself. He has figured out that he's not contained anymore and that's a little hard. Anyone have any advice on how to keep him in his bed when we are trying to get him down for nap time or bedtime? - Kayci
PS. We ate spaghetti last night and he was an adorable mess. He used a saltine cracker to scoop the spaghetti up and then almost none of it would make it to his mouth. Ha!

Can't wait to see all of you! Truitt is really growing up. He is going to be a wonderful big brother!Send pics of the new nursery when you get it done. It won't be long now. Love, Mom

Hey Kayci, its Cassie Condra from Abilene(worked together at AcU. Paisley had the same problem, she would come out of her room all the time. We started giving her 3 chances and if she got up again a gate went up in front of the room. She would cry at the gate but then would lay down and sleep... The samething with my son now who is 15 months and he will put himself back down. Paisley did fall asleep a few times at the door but after a few weeks had it down. She does not need the gate now. Hope that help...It saves you some of the fight!

Hey Kayci,
We are dealing with this same new found freedom with Haven. I have actually had to stay outside her door until I know she is asleep, or she stops trying to come out. That way she knows, she is not leaving her room and I am going to stay there until she does what I say. I had to go through putting her back in bed 4 times yesterday at nap time, but after about 45 min she was finally down. Today I kept her up until she was SO tired and she only tried to get up once. At least she knows she won't make it outside of her room even if she does get out of bed. Good luck
