I know it's been 4 months since I posted and many of you would expect some recent pictures of the boys, but this post is urgent and pertains to another matter. This past weekend I spoke at the West Texas Girls' Conference in Abilene, TX. I had a blast with the 634 girls that attended. I was energized by their desire to love God with all they had and to go be Jesus in the world. The theme for the weekend was CRAVE. I spoke on craving the word, crave sharing Jesus with others and crave an intimate relationship with him. In preperation for this weekend I made a list of things I've craved since I was young. The list then morphed into a poem and finally, at 3 am one morning I woke up with the song "I've got a feelin'" by black eyed peas in my head. Jackpot! I changed the lyrics to the chorus of "I've got a feelin' " and here you have it...I've got a cravin'. Per request of some of the girls at the conference, and much to my embarrassment, the lyrics are below. Enjoy a laugh on me.
I've got a cravin'
Woo Hoo (the girls sang this part for me)
For some mexican food or some do-nut holes
a tall glass of milk with some oreos
a strong Mr. Right with a red red rose
Clap, clap, clap
I've got a cravin'
Woo Hoo
For a road trip to TX and BBQ
a parent to say "I believe in you"
when I was your age it was BIG, BIG boobs! (behind me, a picture of Dolly Parton)
Clap, clap, clap
I've got a cravin'
Woo Hoo
To be thin, to be trendy and funny
to lay on the beach when it's sunny
to love my new job and make tons of money
Clap, clap, clap
I've got a cravin'
Woo Hoo
For fajitas or sonic or snow cones
Chocolate chip cookies, an i phone
my name in bright lights for the big, big show
Clap, clap, clap
I've got a cravin'
Woo Hoo
For the Lord and to hear what he would say
at the end of the day, it's me he saved
and above all Lord, it's YOU I CRAVE!
Clap, clap, clap
I've got a feelin'
Woo Hoo
That tonight's gonna be a good night
That tonight's gonna be a good night
That tonight's gonna be a good good night
WOO HOOOOOOOOOOO!

haha, I love this. For Christmas, please record this on a CD for me. Thanks. :)
Thanks Kacie! I LOVE it! :)You did awesome this weekend! I enjoyed listening to you and it got me thinking about how to share my faith by words and not just actions!
I know you were such a blessing to those girls. God uses you in such wonderful ways and I am looking forward to getting to know you better and better. Love the song, too!
Our girls from Soul Link were wondering if you would put this on youtube.
