HE is faithful!

Have you seen my pants?

I seem to have misplaced them.

Theme for the weekend - your future is wide open!

We're back from the West Texas Girls Conference held in Abilene. I was given the opportunity to share what God had given me with around 600 girls and sponsors. I always get that nervous energy before I speak, hoping that I won't mess it up and fail God, but he was so faithful. I'm always energized by the girls at this conference; their honesty and excitement to be with their "girls" is such a breath of fresh air. I was tough on them and called them to the life that I struggle to live, but I have a feeling they will rise to the challenge.

Josh was able to be there and this was the first time for him to see me speak at an event. I never want him to miss another one. He is truly my biggest fan! Thank you for your prayers and sending me emails, texts and phone calls of encouragement. I am blessed to have such a great support system that encourages what I believe to be, my gift for this season. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart!

My prayer:
God, I give you praise for the hearts that were changed by the experience this past weekend. You allowed my thoughts to flow smoothly and despite my inadequacies, worked through me. I'm crazy about you Lord and I am amazed at the revolution that is stirring in the hearts of teens today. Give them hearts that crave you and mentors to walk beside them every step of the way. You are God alone. Give me a heart that can't help but follow you, is inspired by you and chooses you as my Lord, not just my savior.
I love you father, Kayci

Sweet Pea

Ok, it's what you've been waiting for... pictures of Truitt as a Pea in a Pod for our church Halloween party. He had a blast and I personally think he's adorable. If you haven't seen Reese Cope as a lady bug you'll love it. Check out her blog under "Jenna" in my links. Have a great day!

Today was a day of firsts. He kept saying "Da da da da da da" all in a row. I'm ok with it since he said momma first, but it sure was sweet to hear him say "da da" sort of. : ) He also started rocking today. That's when he gets up on all fours and then rocks like he's about to start crawling. How exciting!! He's almost 6 months and I'm so blessed to see all these fun changes!! God is so good. Love you all! - Kayci

BOO!

Aunt Jenny, Reese and Truitt on our celebrate fall night.
His shirt says... Spooky Friends on it.

Pumpkins from left to right - Cope, Ross and Thompson

Last Friday night we all got together and ate at this shady, but great, hamburger joint. We then had a carving contest and ate a yummy fall dessert. I love being around these friends. I can't imagine Houston without them. Jenna carved the scary face, Chris and Jenny did the spooky tree and then Kayci did the Spider. (yes, that's a spider)
The unanimous winner was the spooky tree. Way to go Thompsons! Happy Halloween week everyone! - Kayci

Having fun

My Sweet T laughing with Mommy!

I bet you can't do this?

Purdy the fish

Truitt wearing one of Josh's old sweaters. Soooo cute!

When we were in Nashville we stayed one night in the Preston Hotel. It was very trendy and one of the things they offered upon request was a pet fish as a companion while you stay in their hotel. Yes, I'm not making this up! So... this is our fish "Purdy", a very southern name. If you happen to stay there some time soon please say hello to her for us. Have a great day every one.

We spent a lot of time with Brandon Scott Thomas and family while we were at the Zoe conference. God is evident in this household and I know we aren't the only ones that see it. Thank you Lord for the Thomas family. - Kayci, Josh and T
